A Tornado Watch is in effect until 12 Noon CST for the red shaded areas on the above image. This includes the cities of Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Huntsville, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Macon and Athens.
Thunderstorms continue to develop in small clusters and lines along and South of a cold front across the region:
Large hail and damaging wind gusts are the primary severe weather threats, however a few isolated tornadoes also cannot be ruled out.
The threat of severe weather will shift Eastward during the morning and midday hours, reaching the Carolinas by early afternoon (as indicated by the yellow shaded areas on the latest SPC Severe Weather Outlook below):
Another severe weather threat will exist on Sunday, and will shift back to the West a bit:
It appears that the primary threat on Sunday will develop late in the afternoon or early in the evening hours and continue into the night.
Damaging wind gusts and large hail will be the most likely forms of severe weather again on Sunday, with a few isolated tornadoes also possible.

This just missed us. Tornado watches just to the south of us as well as severe storms. We thankfully didn't get any tstorms-just torrential rain.
