Tulsa Preparing (Hopefully) For More Snow...

This is how they were clearing snow on the streets in downtown Tulsa last night:

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your persuasion), more snow is on the way to T-Town.

The next system to impact the region will reach the area late tonight, bringing a light freezing rain and/or sleet mixture, before changing to light snow during the day Sunday.  Accumulation with this system is not expected to be significant.

Fasten your seatbelts though, for late Tuesday into Wednesday.  A major cold front and strong upper level storm system will impact the region, bringing another significant round of snow and wind.  It's still a bit early to pinpoint things, but many computer models (that nailed the big event earlier this week) are forecasting 6-12 inches of new snow.  We'll continue to monitor this developing situation and post more specific forecasts in coming days.

For more details on the "big event" earlier this week in Tulsa, see this updated post.
